Joomla KC Admin QuickIcons Extension

The KC Admin QuickIcons administrator module allows the administrator to add up to 10 (15 for the 1.6-1.7-2.5-3.x version) more quick icon access links to the Joomla! backend administrator control panel. Each icon has a text label, a link and it can use an icomoon icon, an icon from the khepri or bluestork template or you can use your own custom icon (max 48px x 48px). In the Joomla! 1.5 version you can also set what access level the icon will be displayed for. So you can set up some icons for Managers (and above), for Administrators (and above) or just for Super Administrators. In the Joomla! 1.6-1.7-2.5-3.x version, the access levels specified are used to determine if the backend user has access and if not, the icon is not displayed.

This module is a quick way to add additional icons to your control panel without having to install a number of different modules or a component. The Joomla 1.6-1.7-2.5 version can also be used to display the icons in the title position so they show on all pages.

How to install Joomla KC Admin QuickIcons Extension

You can install Joomla KC Admin QuickIcons Extension via Joomla Installer.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Download the Joomla KC Admin QuickIcons Extension package from the official website.
  2. Login to your Joomla website's administrator dashboard.
  3. Go to the "Extensions" tab and select "Manage" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on the "Upload Package File" tab and select the Joomla KC Admin QuickIcons Extension package that you downloaded.
  5. Click the "Upload & Install" button to install the extension.
  6. You will see a confirmation message when the installation is complete.
